Peter m'a ramené le saumon, et Michel m'a promis de m'amener ses nouveaux amis pour faire la fête à la maison, mais les rennes n'ont pas voulu quitter leur magnifique pays blanc.

L'année dernière, j'ai tourbillonné sur ce grand lac gelé qui craque tout le temps,

c'est impressionnant!!!!!.

MOVING A TOWN!!

When Kiruna was fouded over a century ago, it marked the start of one of the most remarkable social projects in Scandinavie, and now the wole town is to be relocated.
Never before in Swenden has in entire community needde to be relicated, so this is both an opportity and a threat that noone has previously experienced.
According to new and unespected results, ore extraction will cause such extensive ground cracking in Kiruna town center that within 30 years a large section must be relocated. Blocks of flats, homes,shops, streets, water mains, the electricity supply network, rthe town hall, the church, the hospital and the upper secondary school they are all in the subsidence zone. LKAB mining is now investigating whether there are even larger quantities of workable iron ore beneath the town, and if the results are positive, areas even outside the town center will end up in the subsidence zone. Some structures, such as the railway and railway buildings, and the newly-constructing routingof the Norway road, the E10, according to estimates will be in the subsidence zone within just ten years. So a gigantic relocation project must be carried out in Kiruna and it must place very fast. A major change of this type brings enormous challenges, but also an opportunity for a new start is unique in Sweden.

KIRUNA SHOW FESTIVAL held in January, this is the biggest snow festival in Europe.

L'horloge de l'hôtel de ville de Kiruna est en fer (mine oblige) On dit ( je ne sais pas qui) que c'est l'un des plus beaux monuments de la Suède!(Je ne suis pas bancale, mais ma photo l'est...)

The name of Kiruna means white partridge, or alpine grouse, in Lappish Giron. This bird finds itself in the weapons of the city with the symbol of the iron.





Kiruna is a young community. Its history starts in 1900, date on which the iron ore exploitation started

Kiruna is to 200 km in the north of the polar circle.
It is the city more in north of the Swedish Kingdom.

APRES LA MINE LE GRAND AIR ET LES GRANDS ESPACES

Après avoir passé une demi journée au fond de la mine, rien de mieux pour respirer de l'air "frais",que de faire du ski doo comme l'on dit au Québec, mais ici, il faut le pratiquer en groupes, ils ne font peut être pas confiance à tous ces essayeurs qui s'amusent sur la neige et la glace.

To day, the famous Shiitake mushrooms, cultivated in the worlds largest underground iron ore mine are supplied to the top gourmet restaurants all over Sweden.
You can hear the radio playing misic as soon as you enter the room.
The mushrooms like music and grow well to the sound from the radio.
You find yourself 540 meters below ground in an old control center in the Kirunavaara mine.
The mushroom are kept, while growing, on stands behind a plastic cover fixed tightly together.Steam hisses from a sprinkler system which controls and keep the air humid and the air quality also kept under strict control. A controlled température, with high oxygen content and a little music, this is all the musrooms need to grow evev in the dark.
In 1992 the mushrooms from the mine where served at the Nobel price dinner in Stockholm.

For more than a century KKAB has mined ore in Kiruna. It started as an opene-pit mine, and by the 1960s, underground mining was underway. Nowadays, upgrading of the ore to c customer-spécific iron or products is an equally importaqant part of the operation. From the ore of the Kiruna mine, 20 million tonnes of the highest quality iron ore produced annually. LKAB now employs more yhan 3.000 people.


We travel by bus right down into the moutain and trought the mine. 775 to 1045 mètres below surface level.Its dark, but not cold. The mine has in inddor climat.

LE LAGOPEDE

The alpine grouse (Lagopus transferred) is sometimes named also partridge of snows. This bird - in language same - gave its name to the Swedish city of Kiruna

Voici ce grand lac gelé, impressionnant quand on roule dessus, les pneus cloutés crissent fort, et quand tout est calme, le soir, on entend la glace craquer.

SUR LA ROUTE

Je n'ai pas fait d'essais sur le lac gelé, long de 3 km, loué pendant 3 mois, mais je me suis amusée à faire quelques freinages au frein à main, on se croirait dans un manège.

Puis j'ai pris la route.

Des rennes, j'en ai vu des troupeaux qui grattent le sol gelé afin de trouver leur nourriture : des lichens. Ils marchent ou courent près de la voiture ou devant, les élans eux traversent directement, en galopant devant vous, c'est très impressionnant, car sur une route gelée, impossible de s'arrêter, c'est pourquoi les camions ont des pare -buffles, et sur le côté des routes, les cadavres des animaux sont signalés par des sacs poubelles noirs,(il y a sûrement un service de voirie spécial pour ramasser les cadavres!), mais aussi par des nuées de corbeaux et de rapaces qui trouvent une nourriture "fraîche". Il y a des boules de neiges qui s'envolent à votre approche, ce sont des perdrix blanches.

Why I went in Kiruna?

Because my friend made there of the tests for a French automobile mark, since 8 ans.Il goes there 2 to 3 times per year, making me gleam this country of cold that I like so much and bringing back.

Me voici ENFIN à Kiruna!

Je suis arrivée vers 10h30 du soir, fin janvier 2006, après avoir visité Stockholm(je vous en parlerai plus tard aussi) . Il fait vraiment nuit noire, mais sur mes photos il y a des fois l'heure, vous remarquerez que le soleil se lève tard et se couche tôt à cette époque de l'année.
Le premier jour,vers 3 heures de l'après midi, quand le soleil se couche, j'avais envie de dormir. Il paraît que c'est une réaction normale,(Je vous promets, je n'avais pas encore bu de la SPENDRUP’S OLD GOLD (Alc. 5%.Vol.) au goût un peu amer , bonne bière Suédoise.

TOUT Là HAUT

Et voici où se trouve Kiruna, presque tout en haut.
La photo des portes laponnes que j'ai prise côté Norvège, car je suis allée faire une escapade au bord des fjords et sur les îles Loffoten (je vous conterai plus tard).

BONJOUR LA SUEDE

Les couleurs du drapeau sont très belles, le bleu du ciel et le jaune du soleil, ce sont aussi les couleurs de la ville de Bormes les Mimosas, où j'ai vécu 3 ans et où se trouve actuellement la famille Sarkozy.
Le sigle de la ville de Kiruna, ce sont les portes du soleil, il y a là bas cette forme de montagne, où le soleil à un moment de la journée se place au milieu du creux.

Since my friend Peter speaks to us so well about Paris, I a little will tell his country: Sweden,
I did not see large thing of it, but the place where I went, little of people knows it, even not Peter!!
